Oops I Guess I Forgot To Post For, Like, Almost A Year

Heh heh heh. Silly ol' me. Im not dead or in prison or anything glamorous like that. Just writing those recaps take such a LONG time, y'know? I guess you could say I've been staging my own one woman-reclaim-the-Sunday-protest. I'm pretty good like that.

I don't want to write any cheques that my butt can't cash but I am planning on pickin' this poor ailing blog up from the dusty corner I threw it into and brushing off all the dust and blood and vomit (don't ask) and somehow, some way, reviving the poor little dear. Maybe with a slightly different mission statement. Consider your eyeballs peeled.

I am happier even than when RL Stine joined Twitter.

Glad to see you're not dead. Looking forward to more blog posts whenever you get them done.
And Stine is on Twitter? For real?

Totally for reals.

He's @RL_Stine if you want to question him about the influence of semiotics on his characterisation technique in the Babysitter series, or whatever...

Glad to see you back.

Speaking of Stine he's doing a give away of 2 signed Fear Street books tonight at 7:30 on Twitter. Some kind of quiz, I think it is.

I wonder which books it'll be. ...And in what condition. Like, is he giving away some mint-condition, never opened versions of fan favourites, or some dog-eared wreck he pulled out from behind his sofa cushions and couldn't wait to get rid of? His signature is an illegible scrawl spread over the tattered remains of five pages. The final chapter is missing.

A suggestion — well, two — for future posts: "The Dark" and "The Dark 2" by Linda Cargill. They are INSANE. Maybe the best (although I never read "The Mall" and clearly missed out big time).

I'm a total late-comer but I'm really enjoying reading your recaps, more so than if i'd gone and reordered these books, so thank you! =)

Just to say, I have really enjoyed reading your reviews :) I was truly laughing out loud at your writing style.

Yeah, they were kind of crap in many respects. Formulaic. Over Americanized so as an English kid, they bore no relevance.

But hey, here's to Point Horror :)

If you've never read it, I can recommend "The Vanishing" also by Celia Rees.

Please keep updating :D

I still re-read this blog regularly. I miss it so! I'm the only person IRL that remembers or used to read Point Horror, and this gave me great comfort.

Hello! I've just re read this blog and it's still brilliant! Every so often I feel like beginning mine again but I never quite seem to do so.

Maybe one day...
